DECISIONS

The decisions as listed on the agenda were received, with the addition of:

a

MC2006/0801 : Plot 4, Arnolde Close, Sir Thomas Longley Road, Medway City Estate: Use of land for open storage, lorry and car parking in conjunction with neighbouring warehouse and new access road

Refusal:

The proposed development will result in the loss of part of the lake within Medway City Estate and thereby the loss of an increasingly significant wildlife habitat that clearly has bio-diversity importance. In this respect there is now evidence submitted that the bio-diversity assessment undertaken as part of outline applications MC2005/0586 and MC2005/0587 might have been incomplete. No significant mitigation proposals have been put forward in respect of part of the loss of this important wildlife habitat. The proposal is therefore contrary to the provisions of Policy BNE37 of the Medway Local Plan 2003 and Policy EN8 of the Kent and Medway Structure Plan 2006.
